The Dudley archives and local history service has a comprehensive collection of information relating to Dudley borough from the 12th century to the present day - including business ledgers, maps and school records with more than 80,000 books and pamphlets and around 18,000 images.

The new Black Country history website is an online database for the four Black Country museum and archive services in Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton.  It contains details of the collections held at each of the Black Country museums, information about the people who have shaped the history of the area and photographs and documents about the towns and city that make up the Black Country.
