Situated in the historic Stourbridge Glass Quarter, the Ruskin Glass Centre and Glasshouse Heritage Centre is home to a wide range of craftspeople, including some of the leading British studio glass artists.
Formerly the home of Royal Doulton Crystal and Webb Corbett, the site has completed a £1.4million refurbishment, where visitors can now view a wide range of craft studios, glassmaking processes, and techniques.
The Glasshouse Heritage Centre provides a fascinating insight into the heritage of the former glassworks and studio tours are available (pre-booking is essential).
The Glasshouse Arts Centre is host to theatre performances, conferencing and hospitality events. With a 400 capacity auditorium, 100 capacity studio theatre, multi-use first-floor extension, and two commercial workshops it can accommodate most needs.
A full events programme is held throughout the year and the organic cafe on site is worth a visit.
Admission is free.
