Olympic Torch is coming to Dudley

Major events 2012


Olympic Torch Relay - Saturday 30 June

Dudley borough will welcome the Olympic Flame in the afternoon of 30 June.  Travelling along Birminghan New Road, the torch will also visit the Dudley Canal Tunnel and Limestone Mines and the Black Country Living Museum, where the flame will be transported on a narrowboat and tram.  The Black Country Living Museum will be hosting FREE TICKET* event to mark the torch's arrival in Dudley.  To find out more, visit the museums website.

Smartfest - Friday 10 to Sunday 12 August

Showcasing the best in creative talent. A diverse mixture of music, art, dance and theatre throughout Stourbridge town centre. All events are FREE!  www.smartfest.org.uk

International Festival of Glass - Friday 24 to Monday 27 August

Bringing together glass artists and visitors from around the world to share an exciting and diverse program of demonstrations, lectures, performances, exhibitions and have-a-go sessions.  A unique celebration of the local and the international in contemporary glass.   www.ifg.org.uk
